Beyond the florals, ribbons, and countless meetings, Tricia and her team goes above and beyond in every way, from getting to actually know us as actual people to even becoming friends (soon enough, pickleball buddies?), it never once felt like a transactional or business relationship, it was always so full of genuine care and love! I think overall, the best part of the planning process was the times we got to really get to know each other better, which really showed in Tricia's almost telepathic or psychic ability to know what we wanted and needed throughout planning and on the day of the wedding. Through our random chats in between and during meetings, we shared our music playlist, she shared ideas and vendors she felt suited us, all of which we went with because she REALLY HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD EACH AND EVERY TIME. My personal favourite part of planning with Tricia was definitely the gatecrashing games!! I only had one non-negotiable which was making them do the manchild dance (sabrina carpenter) and based on that vibe and a few comments, Tricia put together the best gatecrashing games plan with it's very own AESTHETIC slideshow hehe. I was so happy planning it as the games didn't feel as generic or too lewd, just the right amount of embarrassing, funny, and heartfelt! For Aaron, I believe he enjoyed planning and ideating the snack bar we had for the church wedding! He wanted something that was meaningful to us, like melonpan, but it was hard to find a good on in Singapore. YET, Tricia said BET and found us the best shiopan bakery ever.

I can’t recommend Tricia from The Modern Matrimony enough. She is honestly one of the kindest, most patient, and supportive people I’ve met throughout this wedding journey.

I engaged her after booking my venue and some vendors, and she stepped in effortlessly — taking over everything I was too swamped. She became my go-to person for all communication and the reason I wasn’t stressed or anxious during the wedding. She even found my makeup vendor, Dear Daisy, whose team was absolutely impeccable.

What I love most about Tricia is how she never judged any of my crazy ideas — in fact, she hyped them up! I wanted a temporary tattoo booth to honour my cats who couldn’t be at the wedding, she went ahead to design and print the sign. I also insisted on walking in to one of my all-time favourite (but very un-wedding-like) songs — and with her coordination, we made it happen beautifully with the string quartet and piano. It was perfect.

She also goes above and beyond in the smallest, most thoughtful ways. My 2-year-old nephew was the only child at the wedding, and without me asking, she bought colouring books and toys to keep him entertained throughout the night. It’s those little things that truly show how much she cares.

Our wedding was a mix of French, Chinese, and Malay guests, with plenty of games, drinks, and food — and Tricia and her team handled it all so smoothly. She even helped coordinate special touches like Jom Teh Tarik, Haig Road Putu Piring, and a coconut water booth during cocktail hour so everyone felt included.

From a last-minute tea ceremony in the hotel suite to managing games like musical chairs, scavenger hunts, and even helping us squeeze in a surprise dance segment for my groom — everything went off without a hitch. There was always someone looking after me — my dress, food, bathroom breaks, outfit changes — everything was so thoughtfully planned and executed.

Tricia and her team truly go above and beyond for their couples, and I’m endlessly grateful for her care, thoughtfulness, and calm presence. ❤️ My goal for my wedding day was simply to have fun and live in the moment — and because of her, I truly did.

I can’t thank Tricia enough for the hard work she put in for the wedding!! She is super responsible and hands on when she took over my stress level became 0. Her experience in this field is so good that u can ask her anything there is nothing she can’t do. All I do is bombard her with questions nearing the wedding yet she still calmly replies me even if I text at 3am or 8pm with mild pre wedding anxiety hahaha.

On the wedding day, both of them Tricia and Kim handled everything so smoothly all nobody needed me for anything. All I had to do is look pretty and go through the motion.

Contacted Tricia in January & signed up for "Partial Wedding Planning" service. Thankfully, she was available for our wedding in July! Even though I was going for just a simple, intimate celebration w/ no bridal party, just a meaningful union for our family & friends to witness, I still decided to engage her help. And I’m so glad I did!

We began with a wedding planner sheet/app that helped her understand us better, our budget for the wedding, vision & overall vibe. It also gave us helpful tools to organise RSVPs, timelines, seating plans & even prep checklists for things like tea ceremonies, Guo Da Li & more. Everything was discussed via video calls, which was a lifesaver for our chaotic work schedules.

Some vendors we initially had in mind were outside our budget, but Tricia quickly stepped in with alternatives that matched our style while keeping us within budget.

For the emcee part, I didn’t hire any professionals. So instead, my friends hosted my wedding lunch reception! Tricia gave them a simple script baseline, some guidelines & cues to follow, discussing via video call. (🚨 Spoiler alert! - My friends totally nailed it on the actual day without any trouble keeping the flow of the program! Of course my friends add on the humors by themselves haha.)

Fast forward to the day before the wedding,
I went to my church lunch reception venue to drop off my DIY items & do a quick march-in rehearsal. That’s when I saw Tricia & Eli in action, setting up the stage, reception & décor with such precision & flair. Eli had clearly done her homework after seeing our pre-wedding photos & my style boards, she instinctively knew how to bring it to life & better. They executed everything beautifully & efficiently together within the tight timeline the church had given.

On the actual day,
Syaz was with me, and then she assisted my husband, from the early morning tea ceremony at home all the way through to the main venue. She ensured the itinerary ran smoothly & on track w/o feeling rushed & reminded us about our posture for photos (which we really appreciate!) Meanwhile, Tricia was already at the venue; ensuring everything was perfectly in place before our arrival.

When we arrived, I finally met Kim! The team had everything prepped like Doraemons or had their wands ready like fairy godmothers: portable fans, tissues, in-ear comms to coordinate w/ one & another… it honestly felt like we were being taken care of by a team of wedding guardian angels.

Just before I walked down the aisle, they hyped me up like old friends or bridesmaids would.
“Finally, it’s timeee!” I felt their genuine hyped-up energy.

Throughout the ceremony, Kim & Syaz helped fluff my train, discreetly moved chairs for the photographer & ensured my husband & I had space to kneel during prayers. After the ceremony, Tricia & Kim quickly pivoted to setting up the lunch reception while Syaz checked in on me constantly; making sure my hair was still intact, that I was hydrated, enough time for photos & to change into my 2nd outfit.

Before the 2nd march-in, both Kim & Syaz made sure my husband & I had a proper meal. They brought SO much food to our changing room!

After the celebration ended, Tricia & her team swiftly handled the teardown & meticulously packed all our belongings. We were worried we might have left something behind, but they checked every corner & ensured all our valuables were safely accounted for!
