Some love stories are written by fate and timing. For Paul and Shirlynn, their story began long before they even realized it. They first crossed paths in 2019 in a club, and later again at their workplace. But it was only in 2021, when a mutual friend introduced them over drinks, that everything clicked. From that night on, they knew this was something real.

The Vision: A Celebration of Love and Loved Ones

When it came to planning their wedding, Paul and Shirlynn knew one thing for certain: they wanted to celebrate the people who had been part of their journey. As Shirlynn shared, “We wanted to celebrate the people who love us and witness us through our journey together.”

That desire translated into a wedding that was not just beautiful, but deeply personal. It became a day filled with connection, laughter, and joy.

The Venue: The Clifford Pier, Singapore

After visiting nearly ten venues, even considering Bali, the couple found their perfect space at The Clifford Pier. Its spacious layout and capacity for their ideal guest count of 150 made it feel like the natural choice. Unlike traditional ballrooms, The Clifford Pier offered the right mix of elegance and openness, perfectly aligning with their vision.

Choosing The Clifford Pier as their wedding venue also meant a stunning waterfront backdrop, blending Singapore’s heritage charm with modern sophistication. It was an ideal canvas for a timeless celebration.

The Style: Simple, Timeless, Elegant

The couple envisioned a wedding that would remain relevant even 50 years from now. They leaned into a simple, timeless, and elegant wedding theme, with a neutral color palette that highlighted effortless sophistication. Their design choices reflected their personalities perfectly, classic yet unfussy and stylish without being over the top.

The Planning Journey

Like many modern couples, Paul and Shirlynn travel often, which could have made wedding planning overwhelming. From our very first meeting, we built trust and open communication. They described the experience as seamless, and even when Shirlynn threw out her “crazy ideas,” our team was more than happy to refine and bring them to life.

As Shirlynn shared, “We hit it off right from the start. It was easy to relay what we wanted and there was no judgment on any front.”

Vendor coordination can often be one of the trickiest parts of a wedding, but our team’s structured process and strong relationships helped ensure everything came together smoothly.

Meaningful Touches

One of the sweetest details of their wedding day was a thoughtful addition for their nephew, the only child guest at the celebration. We curated a kid-friendly table setup filled with little details he loved, from Blippi to Thomas the Train. It was these kinds of personal touches that made their wedding not only elegant but also heartfelt.

Favourite Moments

A bride and groom share a joyful moment outdoors, holding hands and laughing, with city buildings and soft evening light creating a romantic backdrop behind them.

Every decision made in the wedding planning process was made with intention, focusing on what truly matter; celebrating the love and union of two people.

For Paul and Shirlynn, nothing compared to the feeling of walking into the room, hand in hand, and seeing the faces of all their loved ones beaming back at them. It was the perfect reflection of their original vision: a wedding not only about two people, but also about community, family, and love.

When asked if they would recommend us as their wedding planner, Shirlynn did not hesitate: “100000000% yes.”

For us, that is the best testament of all. Knowing we could bring ease, joy, and timeless elegance to such a milestone day is what makes our work so rewarding.
